Hei matua - Contemporary Jade fish hook pendant

The hei matua or fish hook design symbolises abundance and plenty, safe travel over water as well as good luck with fishing. This is an original contemporary design based on a modern "bait holder" style hook.  Hand carved from flawless dark green jade that looks almost black depending on the light and finished with a hand plaited fully adjustable cord.
